Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I become a member of the Temecula Rocket Group?
A. Membership is simple.  You can either fill out the form on our Join Page or attend one of our events and join there.  Members must be in school in Temecula, Murrieta, or a neighboring city in grades 6 to 12.  Parents are welcome to attend events and their participation is strongly encouraged.

Q. Is it expensive to start a hobby in Rocketry?
A. No.  You can visit a Hobby shop that carries rocket supplies and locate one of the many Ready-to-Fly rockets or build one from a kit.  Kits vary in price from a around $10 and go up in price as the rockets get more detailed.  Use normal modeling tools to build these very simple kits for your first rockets and then build more complex rockets as your skills increase.  Bring your rockets and motors to a TRG launch.  We have everything else you need, including launch pads.
